It helps to be Paul Hollywood when launching a range of bakery products. Everyone knows the celebrity chef and judge on The Great British Bake Off, at least by name. But the UK bakery market, worth £3.6 billion (fob, 2016), is one of the largest markets in the food industry. A name on its own isn’t enough to stand out in a busy aisle of bakery goods.

We worked with VIVA Foods on their pitch to present a striking packaging. The design clearly shows the celebrity chef’s brand and evokes a return to simple good baking. It has a classic look that suits a whole range of patisserie products.
The product packaging design was developed through two iterations – an initial and final pitch, the latter featuring Paul Hollywood’s portrait on the front of the box.
